My first thought was to take Aaron's life light in my hands again, to just study him. My whole being was craving another look at Aaron, to explore all of the crevices of his soul. I could not do this because if I did I would never let go, I would become lost in Aaron, forever content to just watch him. This man, who had no idea of my existence, had the ability to swallow me whole. And what was worse is that I wanted him to, I wanted to become a part of Aaron more than anything. I wanted him more than I wanted to move on from this place, I wanted him more than I wanted heaven. I moved away slowly, always watching Aaron's life light as it puls

Do you think the Lord tortures the people who are doomed to spend all eternity in the dark of the caves with a glance of Peace before they are cast down? I'm sure He does because that is what He did to me. I grasped this life light that nearly seared my being with its intensity. Instantly I knew that this person was a man, his name was Aaron, he was a starving artist fresh out of college, and when I took his life light in my hands it became a deep blue like that of the ocean before a storm, the color of his eyes. The next color was a soft pink, the color of ballet slippers. I was flooded with images of a little girl, first a screaming infant,

The rabbit hole chased me down and spit me out leaving the world upside down but it's been three days and my world still hasn't inverted so I keep running because my shoes are my safe haven and if I keep moving I might just find home Where  my reality makes sense and the joy is maddening and the pain is beautiful and it will never be too late
